HOW WE ARE GOVERNED
Donegal Travellers Project is a Company limited by guarantee, not having a share capital and a Registered Charity with the Charities Regulator. DTP’s Constitution is made up of a Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association. Donegal Travellers Project revised the Constitution in line with CHY requirements in 2021.
DTP is governed by a board of directors, each member of whom commits to advancing the charitable purpose of Donegal Travellers Project, behaving with integrity, leading people within Donegal Travellers Project, exercising control over Donegal Travellers Project, working effectively and being accountable and transparent.
DTP is committed to the full participation of Travellers at all levels of the organisation. The nine members of the board also act as trustees of the organisation. At each AGM one third of the board members stand down and new members and a chairperson are elected. The Board meets once a month and its AGM is held every July.
